What is Ahead of the Game?

Ahead of the Game (AOTG) is a FREE program created by Movember with the AFL for players aged 12 to 18, along with parents, coaches and umpires. It builds mental fitness, strengthens resilience and gives clubs practical tools to support young people.

We are pleased to offer this program again in 2026 to help clubs strengthen awareness and respond to the most common mental health challenges facing youth in Australian Rules Football.

Footy clubs shape far more than the game. They build belonging, identity and connection, and they play a vital role in how young people grow.
