Guests in the studio joining Alan Hickey and John Mannion this episode of the Mental Health Space are Nathan Bolton and Professor Sharon Lawn. Together Nathan and Sharon discuss the impacts of defence force service , paramedics mental health through to domestic violence.

Nathan is a member of the Premiers Suicide Prevention Council for South Australia with his own lived experience dealing with post traumatic stress, after two tours of Afghanistan as a former Australian Special Forces Special Operations Engineer. Nathan strives enlighten others of the true strength and power of vulnerability.

Professor Sharon Lawn is Director, Flinders Human Behaviour and Health Research Unit, Dept of Psychiatry, Flinders University and is passionate about doing research that improves the mental health of the community, and particularly that improves how people with mental illness and their families are supported by services. Sharon has over two decades of experience working in disability and mental health services.
