“This year the COVID-19 pandemic has seen our world face unprecedented circumstances.

While South Australia has responded extremely well to contain the virus, our economy and our community have faced significant pressures and challenges. We have been affected in a myriad of ways.

I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge all South Australians for the positivity and resilience they have shown throughout this period. When times are tough, South Australians come together and support one another, and this makes us all extremely proud.

Good mental health is very important to all of us, and by reaching out and connecting with one another, we can help each other through the challenges of life.

I’d like to acknowledge the Breakthrough Mental Health Foundation for the passion it brings to its research into how poor mental health originates, and how it can be treated. This research is crucial as we look to optimise our mental health during challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

I wish everyone good health and all the best for the remainder of 2020.”
