The Mental Health Space with Alan Hickey airs fortnightly on FIVEaa Adelaide.

Adelaide is hosting the 17th annual conference of the Australia & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders from 23-24 august 2019 , where clinicians, researchers and students will get together to share knowledge and ideas on the current understanding of eating disorders and their treatment.

The theme for the conference is focusing upon “The future – New approaches to prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment and recovery”.

Joining Alan to discuss this theme and eating disorders on FIVEaa’s Mental Health Space is Lauren Skuse: sharing her lived experience of an eating disorder and the founder of The Dinner Table Project, Dr Randall Long: Consultant Psychiatrist and Head of Unit of the Statewide Eating Disorder Services and John Mannion, Executive Director, Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation.
