Breakthrough is excited to announce the hosts of this year’s Spectacular Big Talks for Little People Signature Event will be…
Jess Adamson and Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom
The pair have each had long-standing media careers and are passionate advocates for the community. The duo will add their own brand of cheeky banter to the event, so make sure you don’t miss out!
The spectacularly interactive experience is a fundraising gala in support of Big Talks for Little People – a program that provides children with tools to ensure their wellbeing and resilience at school and through life. Both Jess and Soda are parents to young children – so mental health and children’s mental health – is incredibly important to them.
Jess has long been an advocate for Breakthrough since its inception in 2018 and currently sits on the board. Soda has also been a huge supporter for Breakthrough with Erin & Soda’s Big Bike Ride for Breakthrough and the recent disclosure of his own mental health story on-air.
“I’m very excited and encouraged to see people becoming more understanding and accepting of mental health illness,” said Soda.
“The stigma is being challenged and together with Breakthrough, we can hopefully make a big impact in preventing mental illnesses in addition to only treating them.”
Jess said all of us know someone who has been affected by mental illness – it will be the single biggest health challenge of our lifetime.
“Breakthrough’s support of groundbreaking research is key to creating lives free from mental illness.”
The Spectacular Big Talks for Little People Signature Event is on Saturday 13 November. Tickets are selling fast so book now.
