Growing with Gratitude of Hyde Park (GWG) is a mental wellbeing / positive education program that aims to teach people to be great citizens, have adaptable thinking skills, build and protect people’s mental wellbeing, and overcome challenges and adversity. In the GWG Schools Program, they provide presentations, workshops, in-class sessions and a fully resourced online program, while in their GWG Sports, they work with junior sports clubs.

John said GWG epitomises Breakthrough’s core values of “preventative and early intervention principles”.

“Ash Manuel and the the GWG team have a unique program that is able to be translated very easily into an array of education and sports settings that is accessible and engaging for young children,” he said.

“Giving our children emotional wellbeing resources early on in life will set them up for the future so it’s great to see the work of GWG supporting our communities’ wellbeing in the long-term.”

Congratulations also goes to finalists were Ski for LifeSA Lived Experience Leadership & Advocacy Network and Youth Opportunities.
